nSciences, and is Head of Mathematics in her current school. She has taught in many
ninternational schools in Europe as well as North America. Her interest include overcoming
nmathematics anxiety in pupils and STEM education. She is also the author of MYP by
nConcept 4&5 Mathematics.
nIrina Amlin has been an MYP Mathematics educator and department head, the Chair and
nfrequent presenter of the island-wide Bermuda Math Educators’ Learning Network, and
nhas been involved in IB curriculum development and assessment activities. Her primary
narea of focus is illustrating the relevance of mathematics in the everyday world around
nus, and guiding students to experience its applications across many disciplines. She is also
nthe author of Mathematics for the IB MYP 1: by Concept.
